Situated prominently opposite Red Rock cinema, Stockport’s first bubble tea shop launches this Friday (1 Jul) with a promise to offer teens and families the “most instagrammable” creations from the team behind beloved local haunt, Cherry Jam.
Offering 10,000 possible combinations with the widest range of flavours in the country, Cherry’s Boba Shop features an immense inventory of obscure alchemy devised by its sister bar’s head cocktail creator, Neil Garner. Alongside him are a team of ‘cha-tenders’ who will craft elaborate bubble tea cocktails and mocktails.
According to Garner, “if Willy Wonka made bubble tea, this shop would sell them all”, and with a menu including names like Strawberry Shortcake, Minion Banana Bang, The Elvis, a cocktail-inspired Mojito Tea and literally anything else you might imagine, the ambition behind Cherry’s Boba Shop matches the sentiment with interest.
On Friday and Saturday, the first fifty Boba drinks are free on each day, and in the spirit of Willy Wonka, Cherry’s Boba Shop kicks off their launch week with a social media competition in which two people win ‘golden tickets’ for a year’s worth of free bubble tea.
