This Autumn brings Europe’s biggest poultry party to First Street South with Manchester Wing Fest 2019. The two day event taking place on Sep 14 and 15 promises a heated competition between restaurants, street food vendors and pop-up BBQ legends from all across the UK to find out who will be crowned 2019’s Lord of the Wings. If that’s not enough to entice, then why not join in for its offering of beer, bourbon, live rhythm and blues rock music, axe throwing, cooking demonstrations and all-round gluttonous fun? Plus, if you’ve got an appetite for competition, you can enter yourself into both the wing eating competition and Dr Sweetsmoke’s ‘deadly lava’ wing challenge which will be running on both days. This spicy comp heats up with twenty competitors battling out their culinary skills in two categories; Best Buffalo Wing and Best Wild Wing. All wings will be available for just £1 and will be sold individually to ensure attendees can taste test as many as possible. Manchester Wing Fest 2019 runs from midday until 9pm on both days with various ticket types available from just £17.50. Each ticket gives festival-goers one free Frontier Lager, a bottle of Bull’s Eye BBQ Sauce and a Signature Trucker Hat. It’s safe to say that these guys know what they’re doing, they won’t just wing it on the day – well, technically they will.
