Jazz composer Chip Wickham returns to his former home of Manchester with a summer Band on the Wall show. Skilled with both woodwind and brass via flute and saxophone, the roaming troubadour’s time spent in Manchester saw him jamming with local favourites such as Graham Massey and Matthew Halsall, the latter of whom features on Wickham’s recent track ‘The Mirage’. Now with two LPs released via Madrid label Lovemonk, including 2017’s Shamal Wind, Wickham’s fast-paced yet spiritual brand of jazz has earned radio play via BBC 6 Music.
