Chorlton Irish club will transform into a festive bazaar in December as its annual Christmas fete returns for an alternative flea market. With some of Manchester’s finest retailers setting up shop for the afternoon, choose from second hand goods, vintage pieces, homemade crafts, records and art – and maybe even tick some names off your Christmas shopping list while you’re at it. Ones to look out for this time around include jewellery by Wonderhaus, vintage goods by Green/House Boutique and prints and illustrations by Jo Wright. Better still, indulge your appetites as you browse, with food stalls from some of the best eateries in the region – including stews from Tibetan Kitchen, Spanish flavours from La Guagua and sweet treats from Danielle’s Bespoke Cakes – and a cup of mulled wine or hot cider to help along the holiday spirit. Complete with an eclectic mix of tunes from 86 DJs and Andrea Trout throughout the afternoon, don’t be too surprised if you’re still there – mulled wine in hand – at closing time.
Sun 8 Dec, Chorlton Irish Club, High Lane, Chorlton, M21 9DJ, 12pm – 6pm, £1 entry, www.chorltonirishclub.co.uk
