Christmas Lights at Merseyway Centre ft. Jake Quickenden

The nights are beginning to draw in, and as we all know, the best way to fend off the encroaching darkness is to turn on the Christmas lights. The Merseyway Shopping Centre in Stockport is having its big Xmas switch-on in mid-November. This free, family-friendly event will have the usual malarkey, including folks from a local theatre troupe and the inevitable panto stars. However, music is the main attraction, and performing will be swing singer Alexander Stewart, girl band Tiger Heart, and Bailey McConnell from Britain’s Got Talent. The headlining act is singer Jake Quickenden (pictured), star of The X Factor and I’m a Celebrity… The centre is a short walk from Stockport train station, and can easily be reached via the M60, from either junction 1 or junction 27.
