The Nottingham Playhouse brings Christy Lefteri’s international number-one bestseller The Beekeeper of Aleppo to The Lowry later this month.

Winner of the Aspen Words Award, runner-up in the Dayton Literary Peace Prize and a Times bestseller, Nesrin Alrefaai and Matthew Spangler present the world premiere of their stage adaptation of the acclaimed tale from Tue 18 Apr – Sat 22 Apr.

The story follows beekeeper Nuri and his wife and artist Afra, a couple who once lived a simple, joyful life in the beautiful Syrian city of Aleppo — until the unthinkable happens.
