A big top is coming to Salford Quays this summer, courtesy of acclaimed French circus company Circa Tsuica. The artists specialise in world-class acrobatics and brass music and take over The Lowry’s outdoor plaza for three nights this summer, presenting a new show entitled Now or Never. The concept is inclusive – a kind of circus for the 21st century – with acrobats, musicians, and audience all playing their part. As the show begins, the performers mingle with the crowd, making and sharing Breton crêpes, before they fly, fling, and swing across the tent on trapezes, tightropes, and trampolines. All the while, they will be backed by 20 young musicians from Salford’s home grown Jazz Band created through those making use of the Council’s Music and Performing Arts Service (MAPAS).  The young players will be providing brass rhythms alongside the circus’ own players. For more arts and culture in Manchester, click here.
