Cirque — The Greatest Show presents the best of musical theatre & circus at The Lowry

A spectacular new production that blends fan-favourite West End hits with breathtaking circus acts comes to The Lowry this August.

Cirque – The Greatest Show is the latest worldwide touring production from renowned theatre producers Entertainers.

Speaking about the brand-new show’s inspiration, Director James Taylor said: “Cirque – The Greatest Show combines musical theatre hits with circus. It’s a cracking new show suitable for all ages. It’s aimed at families, fans of musical theatre and anyone who wants a great night out.

“It features the biggest songs from the musicals, played out in the company of amazing performance artistes. The production’s theme is about stepping into the light and living your life and, in doing so, you can achieve whatever you desire.

“It’s musical theatre hits that carry the message that you can be whoever you want to be and live your life to the fullest.”

And when asked about what audiences can expect from the show, James explained: “A world brought into full-blown, amazing, ‘Technicolour’ life as showstoppers from everyone’s favourite West End and Broadway hits combine with breath-taking aerialists, astounding contortionists and daredevil trapeze artistes.

“It features the biggest songs from much-loved musicals. Plucked from across the West End and Broadway – the showstoppers are brought to life by our stunning performers and acrobats.”
