Fresh off the back of the release her debut album After Hours, Jubilee touches down at SK this Saturday for the Manchester leg of her European tour. Merging her love of Miami bass, UK club music and dancehall, the Mixpak vibesmaker has created an album that draws from her experiences as one of the US’ finest. Creating a dance music album that works just as well in the headphones as in the club is a tricky one, but it’s a challenge that Jubille rose to – check lead single Wine Up, featuring Hoodcelebrityy for an infectious dancehall vocal over sub-rattling basslines. It’s no surprise that with such a heavy array of influences and a stellar history in America’s clubs, Jubilee is an incredible DJ, with the ability to get any dancefloor moving. Joining Jubilee on the night will be the Swing Ting residents, themselves no strangers to acclaim – recently awarded Resident Advisor’s label of the month, their imprint goes from strength to strength, with a catalogue boasting the likes of Madd Again!, Florentino and ST founders Samrai & Platt. As ever Fox will be on hosting duties for the duration of the night. All this for just £5 entry on a Saturday – you can’t really go wrong with that.
