BPM and Frontin’ team up to bring one of Rinse FM’s hottest properties, Royal-T, to Manchester. It’s been around three years since he last blessed us with his hard-hitting blend of grime, garage and bassline – and the city should be more than ready for him. He’ll be joined on the night by a combination of the two nights’ residents: Madam X, Darka and J Rus.

Fri 4 Apr | Boogizm April Throwdown | Retro Bar
For their first party of 2014, Boogizm move to the intimate basement beneath Retro Bar. Fresh from widely acclaimed appearances at Soup Kitchen, Tom Boogizm will be joined on the night by fellow resident Tom Ireland, with Manchester scene lynchpin Och on mic duties for the night.

Sat 5 Apr | Tremens ft. Jon K | Soup Kitchen
If you ask any DJ in Manchester who their favourite DJ is, there’s a pretty high chance the answer is going to be Jon K. A veteran in the best sense of the word, Jon has always been relevant – testament to his ability to jump between genres in a way unmatched by many, if at all. It’s never a chin-stroking festival when Jon’s involved though: there’ll be plenty of hip-hop, dancehall, house and all that good stuff to keep you moving.

Sat 5 Apr | Mr Scruff | Band on the Wall
Scruff’s all-nighters are a massive part of Manchester clubbing’s history and I think his latest move would benefit the city massively if it spread: the banning of mobile phones from the dance floor in a bid to keep everyone ‘in the moment.’ As always, this ‘non-mobile disco’ will featuring Scruff at the control for five and half hours, taking you on a journey in a very pleasing, but non-literal way.
