Nice little midweek number here, I was very pleasantly surprised when I visited Falcon’s Soundcloud – for some reason I was expecting noisy trap music, but this is altogether more laid back and nuanced. I’ll be curious to see how this translates to a club setting. Bonus support from everyone’s favourite, Jonny Dub, as well.

Fri 29 Nov | Bohemian Grove ft Svenghalisghost [Live] | Islington Mill
Bohemian Grove is probably getting close to Manchester institution status, right? This Friday sees a Manchester debut for Chicago’s Svenghalisghost, who has an album waiting to drop on Ron Morelli’s much-lauded LIES imprint. And with an 8am finish, you don’t need to bother with night buses or anything. Result.

Sat 30 Nov | Hoya:Hoya | The Roadhouse
I can’t say too much because I’ll get in trouble, but one of my favourite ever DJs is the secret guest for this month’s Hoya. Just go, he/she is incredible and you won’t be disappointed. On top of this, all the residents are ace anyway. Swing Ting’s very own Fox is hosting this month too.

Sun 1 Dec | Jessy Lanza (pictured) | Soup Kitchen
Proper Sunday vibes here. Hyperdub’s very own Jessy Lanza touches down inside Soup fresh off the release of her extremely well-received debut Pull My Hair Back. Standout of the album, 5785021 has become a bit of an anthem in Manchester and there aren’t many better settings than Soup’s cellar. £5 advance is dead good value for money as well.
