Thu 1 May | Ashes57 exhibition/DJ Rashad tribute | Twenty Twenty Two
Bittersweet vibes as what was initially the launch for Ashes57’s new exhibition now also celebrates the life of footwork pioneer DJ Rashad, who passed last weekend. Entry is free, but with a line-up that boasts 50 Weapons’ Addison Groove and Swamp 81’s Paleman, any voluntary donation is more than fair. Read our exhibition preview here.

Fri 2 May | Bandulu Records Takeover | The Roadhouse
A very special night of grime, as Kahn & Neek’s Bandulu Records collaborate with BPM. There are no prizes for guessing who the ‘secret Bandulu tag team’ are – but the Bristol-based label also showcases the likes of Hi5 Ghost, OH91 and Boofy. The previous BPM was a high-energy, roadblock affair and this looks to be a repeat. Advance tickets would be a very good move at this point.

Sat 3 May | Eglo Records | Antwerp Mansion
Fatima’s album Yellow Memories drops later this month, and she’s joined on stage here by the Eglo band to preview forthcoming material and a few favourites from her back catalogue. Headz should also be excited by the prospect of an Alex Nut b2b Jon K session, with Jonny Dub, Rich Reason and So Flute’s Danuka providing the tunes in room 2.

Sun 4 May | Toddla T (pictured) | Gorilla
Everyone’s favourite Radio 1 DJ from Yorkshire, Toddla T, plays an extended three-hour set this bank holiday Sunday, hosted by regular collaborator and Manchester legend DRS. Toddla’s also invited the one and only Chimpo to DJ, ensuring this is going to be plenty rowdy.
