Chinatown takes on Japanese cult show Takeshi’s Castle this Sunday in an event that will see teams speeding around local businesses in a bid for the title of this year’s Chinatown Challenge. Part of the annual Duanwu Festival (Dragon Boat Festival), the event is a frenzied triathlon of food, drink and wacky tasks. Challenges across the afternoon include making cocktails at The Alchemist, a dim sum challenge at Yang Sing, dumpling-making at The Great Wall and roulette at Grosvenor Soames casino, as well as other guest challenges. To secure a place, teams need to register by email or drop by The Great Wall in advance. Think Chinese game show-style mania meets Ready, Steady, Cook.
