Coded Rhythm’s 2nd birthday ft. Nightmares on Wax + Onra

This Autumn Coded Rhythm celebrates its 2nd birthday, and as it toddles into the terrible twos it plans to smack us in the face with some heavyweight names in the DJ circle. Headliner Nightmares on Wax (a.k.a DJ EASE) should need no introduction, known for combining hip hop with funk and experimental electronica to craft down-tempo, soulful and beautifully trippy albums like Smokers Delight, Carboot Soul, Mind Elevation and In a Space Outta Mind, which have been pleasing hip hop heads, stoners and average Joes for decades. But also on the lineup is France’s Onra, a true alchemist at the controls who seamlessly fuses hip hop, R’n’B and disco doused with samples from across the globe. The result is pretty arousing – much like the magnifique Parisian himself. Il est sexy, indeed.
