Dan Nightingale and Catherine Bohart | Tue 12 Jun | The Bread Shed | 7.30pm | £5/3
Another Edinburgh Fringe double bill from XS Malarkey this time with an old favourite in Dan Nightingale and rising star Catherine Bohart. Nightingale has long been a staple of XS Malarkey and brings his latest hour long show to The Bread Shed before shipping it up further North for August. Bohart might be a new name to some but it’s a good one to learn, hotly tipped as the next big thing she is funny, engaging and has a distinctive voice. Two top comics for just a fiver is cheaper than what you’ll find in the Scottish capital later this summer.

Cabaret Chaos! | Wed 13 Jun | The Eagle Inn | 8pm | £5
Information is pretty thin on the ground for this one but as it’s being put on by Bolton’s finest thesp Randolph Tempest you can bet it will live up to all the composite parts of the title, including the exclamation point. Tempest always puts on a great show and introduces the most talented oddballs you’ll find so take a chance on this night, if not for the comedy then just for the fact that it’s taking place in a cracking pub too.

Doug Stanhope | Fri 15 Jun | Manchester Academy | 7pm | £37.50
One of the biggest comics in the world, the joyful curmudgeon that is Doug Stanhope is making a stop in Manchester on his UK tour. Always opinionated you can bet he will have a whole heap to say about the state of his home country of the U.S.A. Now deep into his third decade as a stand up he has lost none of the vitriol, swagger and general don’t give a fuckery that has seen him to the top of the comedy tree.
