After conquering Studentville (Fuel, Withington) and Hipsterville (Odd, Northern Quarter) mad kings of Manchester’s alternative circuit Quippotamus have turned their sights toward the suburb of Chorlton and more specifically Mono on Wilbraham Road. Those who dare enter the Quippodrome will be treated to bodybuilders, bank robbers, boners, country ‘n’ western, top lads, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and funny hats according to those that take charge of it. Usual Quipshakers Jack Evans and Jon Whiteley are joined by Wire favourites Edy Hurst and Jayne Edwards to cause uncertain mayhem in the basement of Mono. Ashton favourite son and sometime Victorian oddjobsman Liam Pickford will delighting the crowd with some caring bile to open, making sure that this is one comedy night that has to be experienced to know if it ever happened at all.
