In Bits | Tue 10 Apr | The Castle | 7.30pm | £5
Chief purveyor of all things weird in the Manchester comedy world Jack Evans has a brand new bag. It’s name is ‘In Bits’ and it hopes to remove the malaise of bland Netflix comedies that breeze over you in a binge that fails to raise a titter. Evans will wring all the laughs his hands can grasp out of the audience and his willing cohorts Hannah Platt, Amy Gledhill and Liam Bolton.

Sham Bodie | Thu 12 Apr | Gullivers | 7.30pm | £5
After a recent huge show at Fairfield Social Club, Sham Bodie are back in more intimate surrounds in the Gullivers lounge still flinging out comedy, music and hot dogs. Joining those soggy boys this month is online sketch masters The Exploding Heads, Leeds chat show duo Ross & Josh, rising comic Ash Preston and musician Liam McClair. They’ve also made a bumbag based promo with the aforementioned Jack Evans which you can choose to ignore at the bottom of the page.

SOS | Fri 13 Apr | 3MT | 8pm | £5
Fantastic news for weekend comedy fans! Randolph Tempest is back with his band of merry men to provide you with some alternative LOLs at SOS (Superstars On Stage). A variety show where live sketch, character comedy and filmed pieces all vie for attention at the back street theatre feel of 3MT in Affleck’s. It’s been too long since Randy has had his own space to run about in so we’re ecstatic that this strange and wonderful night is back in the city.

Foxdog Studios | Sat 14 Apr | The Dancehouse | £8/10
Foxdog Studios continue to amaze with their latest show in which they enlist the help of the audience to use their homemade robot to make a meal fit for a king. Their handsome brand of music, comedy and downright technical wizardry is one of the most innovative creations to come out of the city in a long time and this should be one heck of a homecoming show for the duo.
