The Olivier award-winning writer of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice tries his hand at a more overt comedy with Stand Up Stand Up, Jim Cartwright’s latest hilarious and heartbreaking stage play that will debut at Waterside Arts in May. The story of a struggling comedian and a bailiff forming an unlikely alliance and heading off on a series of misadventures Cartwright’s dark comedy is sure to hoping to follow in the footsteps of his previous success with Little Voice focusing on the harsh realities of life in the spot light and the various off beat characters that surround them.
