Foxdog Studios (pictured) | Mon 21 Sep | Gullivers | 7.30pm | £5
Fresh of the back of another successful month long stint at the Fringe, Foxdog Studios bring their rock n roll infused tech support to Gullivers with a host of weird comedy pals. Such is the technical wizardry required for Foxdog to perform means their shows are few and far between, so this bumper show with support from the likes of Jayne Edwards and Stephanie Laing is a real Monday night treat.

Dan Nightingale + Vikki Stone | Thu 24 Sep | Academy 2 | 7.30pm | £7
Another venue not usually reserved for comedy events Manchester Academy 2 gets in on the act to showcase two of the UK’s finest circuit comics. Differing in styles – Stone tickles the ivories and your fancy, whilst Nightingale peddles a more absurd, observational tone – this is a great opportunity to see two top stand ups for a low price. Matt Richardson comperes.

Charlie Chuck | Sat 26 Sep | Joshua Brooks | 7pm | £8
A few months ago you might have placed Joshua Brooks in the same pool of unconventional comedy clubs but Harriet Dyer’s Barking Tales and Tony Basnett’s Trapdoor Comedy nights have put paid to that. This weekend Tony introduces Uncle Peter himself, Charlie Chuck. Fans of Reeves and Mortimer will immediately recognize the shock of hair and shout of ‘DONKEY!’ People who aren’t fans of Reeves and Mortimer aren’t human and so don’t really matter. Support comes from Duncan Oakley and Kate McCabe.
