Ivo Graham (pictured) | Tue 14 Jul | The Pub/Zoo | 7pm | £5/£3
One of the darlings of The Invisible Dot, Ivo Graham is fast building a reputation of one of the smartest comedians on the national scene. Seeing as though he’s still in his early twenties, this is the quite the feat. Here he will be previewing his new show No Filter, which suggests he might be dropping a little of his ‘polite posh boy’ demeanour with a more raucous show. Having seen him deal with a particularly difficult heckler quite expertly last year at The Dancehouse it’ll be great to see him let himself off his own leash.

Gein’s Family Giftshop | Wed 15 Jul | The Robert Powell Theatre, Salford | 7pm | FREE
A chance to see Gein’s Family Giftshop for free as they record some of their favourite sketches for BBC Radio Wales. Given radio an auditory medium (in case you weren’t aware), this will be a collection of the more verbal interfaces between Kath, Ed and Jim, and will showcase their excellent writing skills as well as their comedy timing and penchant for blood and poop gags.

All Our Friends Are Dead | Wed 15 – Fri 17 Jul | The King’s Arms, Salford| 7.30pm | £8
Back at the Greater Manchester Fringe, Katie Norris and Sinead Parker are previewing their next assault on the other fringe festival as they take to the stage uncomfortably catsuited up for your amusement. After a self-imposed hiatus, they are back and more desperate for your love and attention than ever. With great musical parodies of classic Disney songs and some inspired sketches that showcases the duo’s tight writing skills, it’s sure to be one of the more talked-about shows at the Edinburgh. So see it now if you’re not headed up.

The Invisible Dot Cabaret | Wed 15 – Fri 17 Jul | Pavilion Theatre | 10pm | £15/£12
Last week’s Invisible Dot Cabaret of Phil Ellis, Mae Martin, Sheeps and Ellie White & Natasha Demetriou was met with mixed reviews. For the next three-show installment, The Invisible Dot has mixed up the line-ups so no two shows will be alike. James Acaster is the only mainstay as he performs at three separate shows – presumably as the compere – and he will be joined by the likes of Nick Mohammed, sketch group BEARD, Sheeps’ cantankerous twenty-something Liam Williams, David Elms and another hotly tipped sketch group, Daphne. It’s top flight entertainment in the heart of Manchester – and late enough that you can squeeze in some of the other shows listed if you so wish.

Glenn Wool | Sun 19 Jul | Frog & Bucket | 7pm | £8/£7
We mentioned Glenn Wool last week as he was performing at The Old Monkey but now he will be previewing his full show at The Frog & Bucket. It’s titled ‘Creator, I Am But A Pawn’ and it takes on the concept that if there is a god then he’s constantly fucking with us. Especially Wool, who seems to get into more bizarre misadventures than most of us – his only explanation being that there is a higher power and he’s having a right laugh at Glenn’s expense. Another highly anticipated Fringe show you’d be mad to miss if you’re not able to head up to Edinburgh this summer.
