You’ve probably seen videos of Lip Sync Battle; the wildly popular Spike TV show in which wildly popular celebrities lip sync along to wildly popular songs. The Store is doing their own take on the format and it remains to be seen whether this will still be entertaining when the lip syncers aren’t, y’know, famous (although the site says there will be some unnamed guest celebrities in attendance).

Improv behemoth ComedySportz have been bringing American style competitive improv to Manchester for nigh-on 20 years. They run lots of courses to help people get into improv and this summer workshop is pitched squarely at kids 10 and over. So if you’ve got a summer-bored precocious youngster in your life, you could do a lot worse than have them burn an afternoon learning how to pretend to have a quirk at a dinner party.
