After a brief time in the ‘burbs, shilling their sketchy wares in the chrysalis of Wilbraham Road’s Mono, the brilliant minds behind The Quippodrome have spread their wings and landed in the Northern Quarter at Gullivers with a new show for your delectation. Combining sketch, stand up and audio-visual treats, the foursome are marking themselves out as Manchester’s Not Ready For Prime Time Players. This debut show in Gullivers promises more insane skits and bits with Evil Bob Dylan, a character known only as Lesley Video, Quipateer Edy Hurst dressed as a car, the spoof everyone’s been waiting for in ‘Coyote Handsome’ and Jack Evans’ ironic run down of this week’s Top Lads. All this and the added bonus of Kate McCabe to open. As the song goes, ‘Welcome to the Quippodrome, we hope you have a good time’.
