The Edinburgh Fringe is still planning to go ahead in some form this August – but why head up to Scotland when some of the best comics in the country are coming to your local baths this summer?
Local comic James Meehan has assembled a crack lineup of top stand-ups for the inaugural ‘Bath Bombs’ comedy night at the historic Victoria Baths on Wednesday 25 August. It’s the first event of its kind to happen at the baths and the gig will take place in the adjacent Gala pool; with seating available both in the empty pool and on the original gala seating that overlooks the space.
Making this a night to remember is a line-up of four stand-out stand-up performers. Topping the bill is Seann Walsh, described by The Guardian as ‘the best observational comedian of his generation’ and whose endless TV appearances also include acting roles. Joining Walsh is one of the UK’s hottest comedy stars, Fern Brady, who’ll be bringing her fearless caustic wit – and the award-winning Felicity Ward who will be striking a chord with writing that’s achieved enormous international success. All this, helmed by the ever reliable Meehan means this is a midweek treat that’s sure to give you a lift. Book your tickets by following the link below.
