Gein’s Family Giftshop and Goose’s cheap ass night of brilliant live comedy is back in Salford at the University’s New Adelphi with some of the best comics around. As well as new stuff from the sketch dreams that run the night you’ll be guided through by the besequined Kiri Pritchard-McLean and cajoled by the likes of Jayde Adams and Jordan Brookes, plus some more big names yet to be announced. Grab tickets and get down for a Monday night lift.
Joey Page | Tue 23 Oct | The Bread Shed | 7.30pm | £5/3
A comic’s comic on the brink of the big time Joey Page is an eccentric, surreal stand-up who’s built a legion of big name fans such as Josie Long and Noel Fielding. The latter of whom he might be considered the heir apparent. Headlining for the first time at XS Malarkey it’s worth heading down to check out the future of the left-field.
Laughing Cows | Sun 28 Oct | Tribeca | 8pm | £8/11
Kerry Leigh hosts Laughing Cows as the ‘Wrap Gala’ of this week’s Women In Comedy Festival with a pick of the best from the sixth festival celebrating female (and female identifying) comedians from around the world. All Killa No Filla’s Rachel Fairburn has been added to the bill and after her show at the Frog & Bucket has sold out this should also be a very hot ticket. Read our top picks of the festival here.
