The Acid Mothers Temple are back in town – this time psyching out an audience at Band on the Wall. Now 20 years on from first forming back in 1995, the Japanese musical polygon arrives with its original Melting Paraiso UFO shape, with the intention of warping minds into four dimensions. As leaders and curators of their own annual Acid Mothers Festival, their vision for a tactile and engulfing live performance is second nature, intertwining space rock otherworldliness with progressive melodies. Manchester’s post-rock trio Dead Sea Apes are on hand to build up the atmosphere before they storm the stage.
