The folks over at home HOME believe that everyone can be an artist – and in keeping with this philosophy, they have a major show which celebrates the creative talents of Greater Manchester residents. Submissions for the next Manchester Open Exhibition will be accepted from mid-June, and people working in any medium with any level of experience can apply – including professionals, emerging talents and enthusiastic amateurs.

Applying is free and can be done via a portal on the HOME website. For the first Manchester Open, over 2000 people applied and the final selection of over 500 artworks was made by a panel of experts and community representatives. It went on to become the most successful exhibition in the venue’s history, with over 33,000 visitors.

The submission window for the latest Manchester Open call out closes in September and successful artists will be notified the following month. Those looking to simply head down and enjoy some of the incredible creativity on our doorstep can do so when the exhibition opens its doors from January to March 2022.
