You know that Christmas is near when your calendar is full of craft fairs, and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is adding another to the list, with its annual craft bash later this month. The venue is the Birch Community Centre, just off Wilmslow Road and opposite Platt Fields Park. It’s a good chance for people to buy some unique prezzies for family and friends with all the proceeds going to local charities and campaigns. You’ll find stalls selling artisan jewellery, calligraphy, glassware, and books. On the food side, there will be olive oil, homemade jams, and cakes. The Peace Cafe will be serving hot and cold food, and resident band Obsidian will be providing the atmosphere. The event is free to enter and is fully accessible.
