A one-off Q&A with the director of a new independent film will take place at MadLab on Friday 4 October. The Northern Quarter event space will also screen the film, Communion, by critically acclaimed indie filmmaker Greg Hall. The film follows Father Clemence (played by Paul Marlon) who takes to the road in search for retribution and is joined by Maria (Ana Gonzalez Bello), a hitch-hiking punk fleeing from her home town in Mexico. Together, the two embark on a heart-warming, but at times distressing, journey. This revenge thriller will be followed by a Q&A session with Hall, the film’s director and producer. Watch Communion’s trailer below.
