Cracking Good Food has been teaching and feeding the communities of Chorlton and Altrincham with their cook-and-dine sessions since 2010. The not-for-profit organisation provides information on healthy and sustainable foodstuffs, and teaches people how to get the best out of them. On Saturday 18 May they will be highlighting the importance of using local, seasonable produce, and will include composting and seed-sowing activities. Nominees for the Food & Drink Pioneers award at this year’s Manchester Food & Drink Festival, CGF will be focussing on delicious stuffed pancakes for passers-by to make then eat at Chorlton Precinct. A fun, family-friendly event this is sure to entice anyone with a inquisitive mind and a hungry stomach.

Sat 18 May, Chorlton Precinct, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, M21 9AQ, 1-4pm, FREE, www.crackinggoodfood.org
