Don those Pringle jumpers and dust down your nine-iron as tickets are now on sale for Manchester’s newest and quite possibly weirdest pop-up, Junkyard Golf Club. Run by the team behind infamous Manchester pop-up Friday Night Food Fight, Junkyard Golf Club is described as pop-up crazy golf club with nine (ish) holes made mostly of junk, car booty and charity shop treasures. Throw in beats and a bar and crazy golf just got a little crazier. Housed in Unit 5 of the Great Northern, Junkyard Golf Club is the dream of co-owner Bart who has a mad passion for crazy golf, putting in rounds as far afield as Berlin and the Florida Keys. He says he has been accumulating junk in his garage for a few months now with which to build the course and that each hole has been created with imagination and all sorts of weird and wonderful junk including paddling pools, scalextric sets, kitchen tables and treadmills. Surely worth a visit if only out of curiosity…
Tue 24 Nov – Sun 13 Dec, Junkyard Golf Club, Unit 5, Great Northern, 235 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4EN, 11am – late, £6, junkyardgolf.eventgenius.co.uk
UPDATE: Junkyard golf is now extended – again! It’s now staying open a further two months, until Tuesday 31 May
