Salford has recently been enjoying a bit of a cultural boom, kicking its way into the limelight to become a creative hub in its own right. Proving exactly this is the area’s innovative creative arts and media festival, Create Salford, which is a collaborative event devised by high profile creatives and the University of Salford’s final year School of Arts and Media students. Now in its second year, the festival will deliver a diverse line-up of free performances, interactive workshops and activities featuring the likes of outdoor art experts Walk the Plank, Liam Hopkins (Lazerian), Jo Good (XFM, BBC 6 Music) and more, and many of these are to be staged within a giant Perspex box built in the centre of the MediaCityUK Piazza.
