After what seems like an eternity, many museums and cultural sites are beginning to welcome visitors once more. One such venue is the iconic Imperial War Museum North, which is all set to open its doors from the Saturday 1 August. Throughout the pandemic, the curators have been making content available online, but there’s no substitute for the real thing. Visitors can return to peruse the main exhibition space, which has over 2000 historical objects and photographs presented in a variety of interactive displays. There’s also the Big Picture Show – a 360-degree cinematic experience that highlights people’s experiences of war. Naturally, a few changes will be in effect to help keep everyone safe. There will be a limit on the number of visitors in the museum at any one time, so advance booking is strongly advised. General admission tickets go on sale on Wednesday 15 July at noon. However, Imperial War Museum North members can already get priority booking. For more information, please follow the Book Now button below.
