Darling of the contemporary choreography scene, Hofesh Shechter has been invited to be the inaugural performer at Manchester’s new arts venue HOME, which came to life following the merger of Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company. He will curate the first look at his new piece, tHE bAD, which is the second instalment of a trilogy. The work incorporates Shechter’s trademark electronica alongside a dark and groovy dubstep-infused soundtrack. The second part of the evening will feature two members of Shechter’s apprentice company, Shechter Junior. The newbies will be performing the earliest work of Shechter’s, entitled Fragments. As the night progresses, music will be the focus of the evening: instrumental band 72% Morrissey will take to the stage and, for those lucky enough to be attending the opening night, there will be a DJ set by dancer Maeva Berthelot.
