Running from Fri 10-Sun 12 May as one of The Lowry’s immersive off-site theatre experiences, Dante or Die’s provocative new play Kiss Marry Kill brings a tender, ambitious and profoundly intimate love story which explores redemption, sexuality and the prison justice system to Hallé St Peter’s in Ancoats, following an opening run in the heart of the West End.

Inspired by real-life events, the raw and incendiary production follows Jay and Paul, two inmates both serving life sentences for homophobic murders, who fall inconceivably in love and ultimately seek permission to marry while incarcerated.

Promising to challenge pre-conceptions around sexuality while targeting the boundaries of our compassion and deconstructing the moral scaffolding of modern society, Kiss Marry Kill offers a provocative, emotionally charged meditation on love, hate and the brutal negligence of the prison justice system, brought to life in trademark Dante or Die fashion with a mesmeric and electrifying theatre show which unfolds above, around and in front of the audience, set to live music from rapper Lady Lykez.
