Manchester Literature Festival has announced two impressive additions to its ongoing Spring-Summer programme.

On Tue 14 May, An Evening with David Mitchell celebrates the 20th anniversary of the author’s acclaimed polyphonic novel Cloud Atlas.

David will be in conversation with writer Naomi Frisby at Central Library where he will discuss creating Cloud Atlas, his storytelling techniques and fictional worlds, the film adaptation by the Wachowskis, his screenwriting work along with his literary and cultural influences.

On Tue 11 Jun, An Evening with Miranda July sees the writer, filmmaker and artist discussing her new novel All Fours with writer Kate Feld.

All Fours explores the societal boundaries placed on middle-aged women through desire, sex, perimenopause and motherhood, and questions what freedom might look like within those constraints.

Tickets for both events are on sale for MLF Members from 11am on Tue 9 Apr and on general sale on Thu 11 Apr.
