Overindulge in the August sun with some of Lancashire’s finest food and drink products at the Clitheroe food festival. The organisers are proud to showcase over 100 of the finest producers that Ribble Valley and Lancashire has to offer, including meats, vegetables, exceptional cheeses and fine local ales. Entry to the event is FREE but there are some paid events for those who want to attend some of the talks and demonstrations from chefs like Lisa Allen (pictured) of the Michelin-starred Northcote Manor and perhaps best known for being a wining chef on the BBC’s Great British Menu and Victor Yu – head chef of the acclaimed Yu & You restaurant in Cheshire. There are also three children’s cookery classes at £5 each. Of course – it’s not all food, wine and olive oil and there will be live music and a local beer festival from 4pm to close the evening.
