There’s a festival for everything these days – including denim, with jean-jam Clobbercalm Denim Hangs coming to Manchester’s Union Brewery taproom on Sat 15 Jun. Started back in 2017 by founder Ben Woodhouse, this upcoming celebration of denim culture marks the first Clobbercalm event to hit our city following previous events in Sheffield. Touted as day of ‘boots, beer and denim’, it’ll feature a range of talks from a number of leading industry brands, including Levi Vintage Clothing, Redwing Shoes, Barnes & Moore, Forge Denim, &Sons, Joe & Co and 23oz Indigo. As if all that wasn’t enough, new Northern Quarter brand Rivet and Hide will be in attendance to offer exclusive discounts to all attendees. Those looking to spruce up their style will be able to grab a haircut and beard trim from Jersey Street Social, while the Denim Doctor will be on hand to fix up your old jeans. Combine these treats with Manchester Union Brewery’s fully stocked bar and free brewery tours and you’ve got yourself a Saturday well spent. A full schedule of Clobbercalm’s talks and events can be found here.
