The double-headed drum specialists Dhol Foundation are set to storm Band on the Wall with songs from their latest album, Basant. Part of the venue’s New North and South series of shows, the fluctuating ensemble intertwine the musical learnings of Punjabi and Western sounds under the guidance of Johnny Kalsi, who cut his teeth with 1990s percussion merchants Fun-Da-Mental and Transglobal Underground before jamming with Afro Celt Sound System and The Imagined Village. The resulting live show unleashes a ballistic rhythmic force to be experienced first hand.
