The Didsbury Arts Festival, taking place in June, is set to be a highlight of the cultural calendar. The event aims to promote local creative artists from various backgrounds and disciplines. This year’s event is set to have more of a personal touch, as the closing weekend will feature a cultural trail featuring arts, music, and performance. For this, local artists are being asked to open their studios to the public. But here’s where it gets really innovative: Didsbury residents are also invited to have their homes become part of the festival. Volunteers’ homes will host art collections, concerts, and even become the venues for plays.
