More an immersive 3D experience than one-man show, Digging Deep: The Adventures of Sky The Reluctant Hero is the rather wordy title of writer/performer Nikky Norton Shafau’s unique year-long storytelling adventure. The show starts before you’ve even entered the theatre, at www.diggingdeep.co.uk where audiences can take creative challenges and share treasure related to the wider narrative, ideas and backstory of the titular Sky and her world. Her world is one of sleep depravation and the imagination, ably brought to life by Martin Ware’s (Heaven 17) 3D spatialised sound design and animation from Emily & Anne.
