Aussie instrumentalists Dirty Three play their first Manchester show in seven years at Manchester Cathedral on Wednesday 21 November. The trio have been inactive of late, with violinist Warren Ellis (pictured left) instead working with Nick Cave on film scores and Grinderman, but released their eighth studio album, Toward the Low Sun, earlier this year. Their last outing in Manchester, at Academy 3, featured Josh T Pearson as support, while this time, Bella Union’s Zun Zun Egui will join them. Expect plenty of Ellis’ trademark shape-throwing within the cathedral’s impressive neo-Gothic setting.
