It’s tough to remember many recent restaurant openings in Manchester that have caused the same level of (completely justified) hype as District on Oldham Street.

The innovative Thai barbecue joint has continued to push boundaries since its arrival, putting its own unique spin on the tasting menu format and serving up what we can confidently declare as some of Manchester’s most exciting, and delicious, dishes.

And how time flies—this month marks one whole year of District and the team will be celebrating the landmark with a special one-off menu, followed up by a late-night party soundtracked by Manchester’s very own Nite School.

Happening on Fri 27 & Sat 28 May, District promises ‘A unique dining experience of re-imagined Thai flavours by Ben Humphreys and his team to an intense synthwave soundtrack.’

All in, 11 courses are on offer over a menu that spans dishes like Raw Bass, Tom Ka, Shellfish Gaeng Som and Yorkshire Wagyu Picanha, among others.

You can book your spot using the button below, though we reckon this one will likely fill up quickly.
