Defining the instrumental sound of hip hop for many fans of the genre, DJ Premier was one half of the sadly-missed Gang Starr and has worked with Nas, Biggie, Jay-Z and KRS One to name but a few. His recent Unorthodox single with Joey Bada$$ has seen him maintain relevance to a new generation and his thirst for jazzy instrumentation guarantees head nod action every time, no matter the degree of hip hop knowledge. Returning to Manchester following a spectacular show last year, he’s joined by the prolific producer and DJ Statik Selektah whose credits include Mob Deep, Q-Tip, MOP and Action Bronson as well as his recent Strong Arm Steady collab on Stones Throw. Manc DJs Juicy, Konny Kon and In The Loop are joined by London’s one-man party don, Spin Doctor.
