Tickets are now on sale for Doc’n’Roll Film Festival 2018, celebrating under-the radar music documentaries. The festival, which takes place over six days in May, will present 11 screenings at an array of venues in the city, including: HOME, Gullivers, 3MT, and Plant Noma. Standout films include Manchester Keeps On Dancing (pictured) which looks at Manchester’s ongoing love affair with house music and features all your favourite faces including Will Tramp and Luke Unabomber. This study into the subculture presents never-before-seen footage alongside in-depth interviews with local and international DJs. About A Badly Drawn Boy centres on Damon Gough and the legacy of his Mercury Prize winning album The Hour of Bewilderbeast, 18 years after its original release. Raving Iran follows two brothers at the centre of Tehran’s underground techno scene. Tired of hiding from the police, and under dangerous circumstances, they organise a massive rave in the desert. Several of the events will feature post-screening Q&As, DJ sets, and live music. For more music and film events in Manchester, click here.
