A brand-new ice cream shop, A Few Scoops, has confirmed that it will officially open the doors at General Store’s new MediaCity venue – and it’s giving away 100 free scoops of ice cream in celebration.
A Few Scoops specialises in alcohol infused ice-cream, sorbets and ice-pops and will bring Joleen – its little pink tuk tuk – to the launch. You’ll be able to find Joleen outside General Store MediaCity on Saturday 1 May from noon until 6pm, where you can pick up your free ice cream scoop.
Limited to one scoop per person, while stocks last – A Few Scoops’ flavours include Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned and a vegan Pina Colada. Meanwhile, their sorbet offering includes vegan Peach Bellini and Mojito and there’s even coke floats flavour ice cream and cherryade sorbet for the non-booze drinkers.
Launching in 2019, this Manchester business is the brain child of Alanna Atkinson who wanted to create a way to blend her love of ice cream with her favourite tipples – and the addition of Jolene set Alanna on her way to serving the ice cream of dreams to the city.
