Manchester’s historic Great Northern Warehouse will be a hive of bustling activity and entertainment this Bank Holiday weekend, as the historic venue’s residents pull out all the stops to celebrate the extra day of fun.

The Great Northern amphitheatre will play host to Family Pride MCR celebrations on Sat 27 Aug. Running from 12pm-6pm, the unique setting offers entertainment in a safe, inclusive and creative space for all ages, with guests also able to enjoy the famous parade as it passes by.

Quickly becoming one of the city’s favourite spots for discovering new music, the Lion’s Den will be hosting a free, three-day festival headlined by Colliders, Reave and none other than local treasure, Clint Boon. There’ll also be a chance to win a £100 bar tab, and funds are being raised for Forever Manchester, who do incredible work in funding and supporting community activity across Greater Manchester.

Platzki, the quite wonderful eatery specialising in modern takes on traditional Polish cuisine, has unveiled a new breakfast menu for anyone wanting to get an early start. Featuring dishes like the Krokiet; crispy fried pancakes stuffed with Polish black pudding served with a fried egg, or the Gryzby; fried oyster mushrooms with onions and apple served on sourdough and crispy halloumi, it’s the perfect way to fuel up for the festivities.

Also on the food front, on Sun 28 Aug James Martin will be running their luxurious take on bottomless brunch, offering 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco or beer alongside their famous Sunday lunch for just £40pp.

Pong and Puck are also getting in on the bottomless brunch action with a Pride special on Sat 27 Aug between 12.30pm-3om. Hosted by Miss Ginger, guests can expect prosecco, pong, cheesy pizza and even cheesier hits.
