Manchester’s favourite art-poppers are set to top off an extensive year of touring this December with, that’s right, yet another tour. This time though the five-piece are adding a little something extra to their performance as they invite a string ensemble along to recreate most recent album Out Of Touch In The Wild for a handful of special live shows. Including a stopover at Academy 2, the tour will be the first time the album will be performed in its entirety and true to the instrument-rich studio recordings. Dubbed as the ‘Out Of Touch In The Wild Light Orchestra’ and, as ever, with the band’s famed energetic live presence in tow, this is a must for any self-proclaimed Dutch Uncles fan – and tickets are bound to fly out so best not hang around. Support comes from Liverpool newcomers Outfit. We’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to you lucky Wire readers – all you need to do is send the correct answer to the question below in am email with the subject line ‘Dutch Uncles competition’ to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk, along with your name, age and Twitter handle. We’ll announce the winners on Thursday morning.
