The Deaf Institute hosts not one, not two but four tasty nights for you this bank holiday weekend. On Thursday (definitely the new Friday), things kick off with Electric Jug, which promises a healthy dose of 50s, 60s, soul, rock n roll and psychedelica in the Music Hall. Friday evening’s Fam*, meanwhile, takes things in to an altogether different direction upstairs – the perfect night out if house, disco and funk whet your musical whistle. On Saturday, you can expect to hear classics from Duran Duran, Blondie, The Smiths, Bowie, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode at Girls On Film, hosted by resident DJ Hattie (XFM). And to round the weekend off, Easter Sunday wouldn’t be complete without I Am The Resurrection, which, for its fourth Easter instalment, offers an indie party with GOO residents behind the decks all night long. What’s more, if you’re looking for an Easter Sunday treat, the Deaf Institute is offering 2-4-1 on burgers, cocktails and teapots right through to 10pm.
