Featuring the most coveted sneakers at original retail prices and a guest performance from rapper, singer and actor IAMDDB, eBay is hosting its first ‘music-themed sneaker store’ at Stage and Radio on Thu 29 Sep, in a celebration of ‘Manchester’s influence on the music and sneaker industry’.
From 6pm-9pm, the one-off pop-up on Port Street promises to ‘burst the sneaker market bubble’, offering enthusiasts the chance to buy exceptionally rare and expensive pairs at an huge markdown in an on-site raffle, including the Nike Air Jordan 4 X Travis Scott, currently reselling for £1,200, on offer at £90; the Nike Dunk Grateful Dead, also £1,200 in the resale market, for just £51, and the Adidas Yeezy Oxford Tan available for just £200 down from £750. Alongside the raffle, IAMDDB will perform live, and the store will also host a ‘crep check’ music quiz.
All proceeds from the on-site raffle will go towards Manchester’s Olympias Music Foundation, a charity who work to champion diversity in music.
