Think tank IPPR are holding a special forum called ‘Economic Justice for the North West’ with guests such as mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham to discuss what might happen to the region in these uncertain times. The IPPR Commission on Economic Justice was established in 2016 in the wake of the vote to leave the EU to examine the challenges facing the UK economy and to make recommendations for reform. Its final report Prosperity and Justice: A Plan for the New Economy, published in September 2018, made the case for a radical overhaul of our economy. Here they will pore over these findings with Burnham, Liverpool mayor Steve Rotherham, Claire McColgan (director of Culture Liverpool), Greater Manchester Citizens’ Furqan Naeem and more local voices, including yours should you wish to pose a question. Make sure you get in touch to ask yours and have your voice heard at this important time.

Thu 27 Jun, Friends’ Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NS. 5.30pm-8pm, free to register. www.ippr.org
